Who Is NCMI?

New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI) is a translocal ministry team with an apostolic heart that is comprised of men and women who, through partnership, help pastors / elders build their local churches in doing the work of Jesus Christ’s Kingdom in their areas. Our work is in equipping and mobilizing believers for the fulfillment of the work of the Kingdom and the discipling of the nations.

Heart (Our values)

The desire of NCMI is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth! We long for the world to see and hear about Jesus, His finished work, and to see the Kingdom of God advancing and extending in every possible way.

Our heart is also to help in strengthening local churches. Our hope is based on the endeavor to encourage, equip and build up the local church

(Ephesians 4:12).  We do this from two basic foundations:

  1. The Church is about Jesus and His Kingdom. The church is the only thing Jesus is building and we believe the church is God’s ‘A’ plan! (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 3:10). Planting New Testament churches is the primary vehicle God has chosen to evangelize the world.
  2. The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and is the only acceptable standard for life, ministry and conduct in the Church. (2 Timothy 3:16.) This standard is applied, as best we know how, to all that we do in partnership with churches worldwide. It has practical implications for the way in which NCMI team members and partnering pastors are accountable to one another and to their own churches. We are committed to allowing this standard to direct our lives, both individually and corporately, in order to see God’s truth established in our lives and in the earth.

Head (Our leadership)

We recognize and honor the fact that Jesus is the only head of His church. (Colossians 1:18) We do, however, believe that God places people in leadership roles and positions  (1 Timothy 3; Ephesians 4:11; Hebrews 13:7). Tyrone, along with his wife Nicole, lead the NCMI translocal team. There is, however, no hierarchy in this team. No one is at the top or at the bottom and this team is not above the leadership of the local churches that partner with them. The team is comprised of men and women who have an apostolic-prophetic heart and are anointed by God to function in the ministries outlined in Ephesians 4:1-16 (the “five-fold ministry” gifts) and are able to be sent in a way that enables them to give the benefit of that anointing to more than just their local church.

All NCMI team members are based in local churches and most of them are pastors who lead a local church which is able to release and support them for periodic ministry around the world. Some have been fully released from a pastoral role to give all their time to translocal ministry, with their local church as their base. Some team members are supported by gifts and ministry funds set up by their local church or by base churches with whom they have a relationship. These ministry funds are supplied through voluntary contributions from relating churches. These funds also facilitate ministry by team members into areas and churches that are unable to fund a request for ministry.

How The Crossing Church Partners with NCMI

Recognition

We recognize the Biblical basis and need for partnership. It is not God’s design that any church or any leader fulfills the Great Commission on their own. There also is a recognition of the Biblical basis and need for translocal ministry, as outlined in Ephesians 4: 1–16, and the anointing and gifts of those on the NCMI team.

Relationship

Relationship and accountability is strategic and key to the effective ministry of the Church. This is why we often say, “friendship, not just function.” We are on a mission together, committed and submitted to each other, serving and preserving our friendships and actively building our relationships.

Revelation

Partnering with us must be something God has called you to. We need to be unified together in theology and heart, while holding to diversity in gifting and grace as we contend for our values together.

Resources

In partnership we give of our resources without reservation. We give our people in our churches to this work as well as partnering financially.

Responsibility

As we partner, we take responsibility in the message of the Gospel, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the mission of the ministry and our mandate to the nations. We do this together.

Reward

As we partner we share in God’s rewards and the wonderful inheritance that he has for us, together. We share in the increase, the blessing and in the break-through across the world.

We are stronger together for the Kingdom!
